Buenos Aries, she protest too much...

Thursday started late, just the same as Wednesday. Our lovely room was just too easy to laze around in but as the Argentinean way is to eat late and stay up late, we weren't beating ourselves up about it!

We spent most of the morning planning the next week of our trip, Booking travel and accommodation for the start of our Patagonia adventure.

Eventually we left the hotel and headed for some lunch to a beautiful little Argentinean Cafe where we both had a salad which was curiously served in large metal bowls:

After this we explored a lot more of the city by foot and tried to take a different route to yesterday but again got caught in another huge demonstration with well over 100,000 people!!!

We ducked into a cafe and waited for them all to pass which took nearly an hour!

More mooching around seeing the beautiful architecture and then back to the hotel to get ready for our evening!

Lauren loves these purple trees and wants to find out what they are. Any Alan Titchmarsh's out there?

Our evening started with a lovely meal at an old, old restaurant in downtown BA and then we were off to an authentic Argentine Tango show!!

It was fantastic! They told a story through song and dance (just like a musical) and it was all in Spanish so we had no clue what was going on but the dancing was incredible!

It was an ancient Cafe with an underground theatre which held about 120 people. This was pure Argentina and we had front row seats!

Check out these pictures:

Back to the hotel and packing up to leave our lovely room tomorrow ready for the next stage in our adventure; Ushuaia, the southern most city in the world!

Caio!
