Welcome to Miami

Monday morning we ate breakfast at the Hard Rock Hotel and for the first time in forever we were offered a huge selection of cooked breakfast, pancakes, fruit, omelettes, cereals, yoghurts and dozens of drink options including a juice bar where you could make your own juices! Lauren was over the moon!!

After a quick wander around this fantastic hotel, we checked out.

We got a taxi to the airport and crossed the Panama Canal on the way.

We met up with Mags & Lynsey who, completely by chance, were booked on the same flight as us to Bogota.

As we'd not really enjoyed Bogota the first time we had booked an airport hotel as we were to leave within 24 hours for Miami.

So, once we'd arrived at our Bogota hotel we chilled the rest of the day there.

Tuesday morning we got up and left for Bogota airport. We were finally leaving South America after three amazing months.

We got on the plane and settled in for our flight to Miami.

Once more, goodbye Bogota!

2 more days and we'd be on another plane, this time to the UK!

We arrived in Miami, got a cab to our hotel and headed straight out to grab some food.

The view from our restaurant

This was the first time in over 3 months that we were in an English speaking country and it felt weird to say the least!

Every time someone spoke to us in English we had to consciously think to reply in English not Spanish as we had done for the last 3 months! It didn't help that our waiter was from Peru!

We walked back to our hotel looking at bright neon lights, skyscrapers and flashy cars. A very novel sight for us after so long in South America!
